Micro Fall 2010

Figured I'd go ahead and start a thread for those of us taking Micro in the fall.

What books are you guys using? Anyone know of helpful sites, videos, etc?

That's great, our teacher said only 10% of his students get the correct organism.

We are in the homestretch! I have lab finals this week and lecture final the following week. Anyone else get to the helminths and get completely grossed out? OMG, our lab prof showed us a pic of a baby with a lot of Ascaris coming out of the baby's rectum. OMG, I thought I was gonna puke. I hope I never see anything like that when I'm a nurse! Well he did tell us that the reason he showed us that was so we would never forget that helminth - it would be a clue for us to remember on the exam. Ascaris = A scary ass!!! LOL!

Yes Its almost over!! I have lab final next week and lecture final the week after. Tough class ridiculous teacher but very interesting.

Did my lab final today! Got a 93 and an A for the class. 1 down, 1 more to go with Lecture Final next week. Thats gonna be like a heavy weight boxing match with 150 questions! Yikes!! Better get to studying! But this has definitely been my favorite science class. Almost made me want to change my major to lab sciences.

Almost done - Dec. 16. I have over 100% in this class and it's been great. My favorite of the sciences. I always preferred talking about microbes and disease vs. bones, muscles, tissues, etc.

Aaargh, feel like I'm running on empty right now. Tomorrow is my final for lecture and I feel like I have nothing left. Not sure how well I'll do on this final. I have an A going in so I know the worst I could do is a B for lecture. I really want to keep my A but I'm feeling so drained right now and feeling like I don't remember a thing. So crazy because I haven't found Micro to be difficult at all. I'm just so drained right now and feel like I have nothing left in the tank. Sigh, I'm so looking forward to the break

good luck Mangopeach!!!

I have my lab final tomorrow. The highest grade in our class is a B...:crying2:

time to hit the sack....

Thanks studentnurse. Hope you did well on your lab final.

Its hard to say how well I did. I don't know if I did well enough to hold on to my A. Won't know until next week. Oh well, the worst it will be is a B and I already got accepted to my program so I'm not stressing about it, although I would still love the A.

I'm just glad to be done with school for a few weeks. I really really really need a break. Yet I already have my reading assignments for the first few nursing classes. Aaargggh! I'm contemplating if I should just relax or get started on them.

I got my acceptance letter right before my lab final!! That took a little pressure off the test.

:yeah:Congratulations STudentnurse!!!!! Yayyy!!:yeah::nurse:

Feels great doesn't it!! I had orientation for nursing school today, I was super excited! Left to go to my final, then went back. I'm excited but nervous and like I said, already they gave us reading assignments. We don't have to do it, its just if you want to get a head start over the break. I'm contemplating if I should start. Our first test will be at the end of January and I'm already thinking abot that:uhoh3:

But enough rambling about me, I'm so happy for you!!! Its great to see some of the people I've been chatting with also moving on over to the other side! See you in the nursing student section!!!!

Thanks, enjoy your break and see you on the other side!!!

I got my acceptance letter right before my lab final!! That took a little pressure off the test.

Congratulations!!!:yeah:

Happy Holidays everyone:o
