Memory Notebook Series

Hi all. I was looking on ebay for some study material and came across a couple of booklets from Mosby that say they are part of the Memory Notebook Series. They look really good and I'd like to buy (or at least look at!) the entire series, but when I google it under that I still get bits and peices or the completly wrong thing altogether. Does anyone know anything about this series? How good is it? Where can I find the complete series?

Thanks

any idea where i can find the complete set?

I don't know about the complete series, but I've seen lots of them at the big book stores (i.e Books-A-Million, Barnes & Noble).

Hope this helps!

Thanks to both of you! Are they all written by Mosby and for nursing/medical? I live in a rual area, but next time I get down to the city I'll look for them there.

Jado, perhaps you could provide the ISBN number?

Thank you so much!

I would really like to get the Memory Notebook Series books. However, when I go to Amazon.com, I am confused on which one to buy. I see there are two volumes out currently, but which edition would be the latest one for each volume?

I see the one with the wizard on the cover which is titled Memory Notebook of Nursing: Pharmacology & Diagnostics. It looks like there is only one edition of this particular title.

Then there is volume 2 with a 3rd edition out with a picture of a person who is having an anaphylactic reaction. There is also another book that has a picture of a person with bipolar disorder (Volume 1, 3rd edition) with the sub-heading A Collection of Visual Images and Mnemonics to Increase Memory and Learning.

Which one(s) would be good to buy? I am open to buying both volumes, but I'm wondering if there is a difference between the Pharmacology & Diagnostics one and A Collection of Visual Images and Mnemonics to Increase Memory and Learning one.

Thank you!

I personally have them all, along with the smaller flip books made by the same people. WONDERFUL tools for memorizing sometimes hard to remember material. My instructors love them and use them at times in class when students are struggling to keep info straight. I got all mine from Barnes and Noble. HERE

Yes, there is a HUGE difference in each. In the post I made above this in response to the OP, you will see the page in Barnes and Noble that also shows some smaller flip books. I LOVE the Pharm flip book....it has SERIOUSLY saved by behind!

GOOD LUCK and GREAT INVESTMENT

Thank you nurz2be!

I see that Volume 1 of A Collection of Visual Images and Mnemonics to Increase Memory and Learning book JUST came out with a 4th edition two months ago (there is no image for the book).

I also see that the notecards/flip books are available for Pharm, Patho, and Fluids & Electrolytes. Do you have all 3 of these? If not, which ones did you find the most useful? I guess I am looking for something that will help me prepare for the NCLEX as well as when I become a nurse.

I do have all three and they are FANTASTIC! My Pharm one has been used so SO SO much, LOL. Fluids and Elec, we are just getting into so I find myself referring to that more frequently. Patho is ALWAYS a huge help as well.

The thing I LOVE about these books is the way they organize the info and include some silly off the wall pic and you would be SO Surprised how many times, even during tests those images come flooding back to assist me!

The really kewl thing, if you didn't know, is those are made by RN's! So they are totally geared for the RN, I mean LPN's could get great use from them as well, no disrespect intended! I just mean that when things are written by those who actually DO, it makes and exceeding amount of difference.

Anyways, hope this helps ya
