Does anyone have a formula for IV calculations. I'm preparing myself for when I have to take my calculations test on the first day of school. We are not allowed to use calculators during test only in clinicals. I do know the
volume
________ x drop factor
Time
Thank You,
Keysha :)

Hi Keysha-
The formula you have there is the basic one that we use for IV's. Are there other things you need to figure out for your test e.g. Heparin, gtts/min, etc. I'm actually looking at my Pickar calculation book as we "speak." Let me know what types of problems they are expecting you to do and I can post formulas and examples.
