MDC Fall 2011 =)

Hi guys! Who else is applying for MDC Fall 2011?

I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!

I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol

Well good luck to us all! :heartbeat

I got in :) does anyone know any stats on recieving vaccines while breast feeding? I see we need the MMR and 2 TB tests

Hi! What were your scores??

FCAT - Chin up kiddo. Remember, don't be afraid to try again if necessary.

Many times what is truly worthwhile is HARD. Sometimes, to have success it is harder and longer than one thinks. One strategy I'm considering is going to LPN school and then applying to both LPN-RN school and RN school. Doubles the odds of being accepted! Further, there is a part-time LPN-RN program, too... so

it is possible to work & go to school. One girl in my nutrition class is just finished RN school by this method. She said it was EZ and the right road for her.

Whatever you do, do not give up... even if, (god forbid) you are setback.

Congrats! Therre are specific vaccines that cannot be administered but they arent those I believe.

Does anyone think there gonna send out any more emails tonight??

Mocadell,

Sorry I wasn't clear. My inquiry to you was, "do you know other students whose goal is part-time RN school for Aug 2011?"

By the way, I know that Palm Beach State College has part-time RN school at state tuition rates... but more pre-requisites required there compared to MDC.

I'm curious WHERE on your emails does it say "homestead"???

Right in the subject line and on the bold print where it specifies what program.

Tanabella,

Got it (Homestead is posted right on the subject line)

THANKS. If/When I get my acceptance I will be on the look-out for this.

Well I've seen that people on this blog have applied to all three so I don't know..just called MDC and they said that they're all gone for the day that they will be sending out emails 'till Friday

We have the I-Phone..we can travel to the moon..we can't send everyone out the email at the same time??!!!???

I think I'm having a nervous breakdown LOL!

Mocadell,

But out of those posters who have applied to all 3 programs (accelerated, traditional, part-time), I have yet to see any say if they are accepted they prefer the part-time program! My friend (doesn't post here) applied to all 3, and was accepted. I'm feeling like she will choose traditional. Most everyone I know prefers traditional. So, I'd love to know some students that prefer part-time (like you).

To Flex:I got my rejection email. I DID NOT GET IN. I guess I'll have to fax my resume out to several McDonald's restaurants.

Try BCC their deadline for january is september but you have to take intro to health. They have no waiting list i think you have to have a minimum of a 3.3 or something and take the hesi which is 50 bucks and in my opinion easier than teas.

SIKE!!!!! I got in. Just got my acceptance email!!
