the ati study guide is basically cover the entire exam. the mcgraw hill book is a nice complement. i would mainly study off of the ati book and use mcgraw for science and english
I agree with Brighten, but be careful with the McGraw-Hill book as it does contain some printing errors, and they are somewhat obvious. Check out a thread I started last summer:

Hello everyone!
I am glad that you made this post, because I am debating on the exact decision. I am planning on taking the test in about a month or so, I will soon order the ATI package which has the study manual and the online practice assessments. I am able to access the McGraw book from my library. Please advise on what else I be preparing for the test. I recently decided to go for nursing and I am very passionate about the career.
Thank you.

The ATI book is all you really need (buy from Amazon or eBay, much cheaper than the ATI website). I needed to save money so I bought only one of the online practice tests, which I recommend as it gives you a report at the end showing your score for the practice test and pinpoints what areas you still need to study based on your wrong answers (plus the page #s for those topics that correspond to the ATI book). The book also comes with 2 tests, one which you should use as a pretest to see where you should focus your studies. The McGraw book I hardly used, only once or twice for the science section. I got a 90% on the test, I actually thought the real test was easier. I was scoring @ 10 points lower on the practice ones.
When I ordered my ATI book (direct from the ATI site) it arrived really quick, so if that's a concern I don't think you have to be too worried. It only took a couple of days for it to arrive. Also, I haven't taken the TEAS test yet, but from reading the threads here on allnurses I find that most people find the ATI book extremely useful (minus the science section).

I'm being impatient and not sure I want to wait for the ATI study guide to arrive in the mail if I order it.
I can get the Mcgraw Hill study guide from my library or a book store close by. Has anyone ever done a side by side comparison to see how they stack up against each other?
