Dear Nurses and students,
Ive been thinking of doing the concurrent program through MCC/NAU. And I've heard the wait list to be accepted is quite extensive, 3-4 years in fact. Can any one tell me if this is true and how long you waited to become accepted? Also what does NAU look at when applying? What's a good GPA to have? And one last question what did it all cost you for the program?

You can find some answers at nursing.maricopa.edu about the CEP program.
Maricopa wait has dropped to one to two semesters as far as I have been told. I know some that applied Nov 2014 got placed this go around, but the waitlist does not involve the CEP program unless you get placed in the nursing program before applying to the CEP program.
If that makes sense.
Thank you for the reply, I was chatting with my mother about it and she was telling me how some nursing students had to wait a long time to finally earn their seat. Good to hear the wait isn't too long. Thanks you much!
No problem. The wait was that long but recently dropped the last semester or so. Good luck on your journey.
That makes me very happy it dropped to only a semester. And thank you very much I appreciate it, I'll need it lol

It's not a semester, it's about a year. It was between 2-3 year wait so it has gotten much better. I had to wait almost 2 years to get in.
Thank you for your input! I just met with an advisor just yesterday and I was told it had infact dropped down to a semester wait. Because she was telling me about a student who applied with all of her pre reqs and co reqs done. And had a good gpa too. So I guess that's the key to getting in early

When I put in my application last month at GCC, the advisor told me that it was only a 9 month wait list. HOWEVER, that is for the ADN program. There is no waitlist for the CEP; you either get in when you apply or you don't, and have to apply again. I only have a couple of pre-requesites left so I'm going for the CEP anyway instead of waiting.

I finished my pre and Co reqs for the mcc/nau program fall 2014. Attended the nau application 2/2015 and I just started nau classes last week. Mcc block one starts 8/2015....so really, no wait
Thank you for the reply! I still have to begin my pre requisites, but I'm super excited to begin my journey.
There's no waitlist for the CEP program, only for the regular ADN program. I am currently in the CEP program. If you don't get in, you have to apply the next semester. CEP is the quickest way to get in because there's no wait and you will end up with a BSN instead of just an ADN.
If I may, how are you liking the program so far? Any input would be most appreciated:)
