Maternity Class

Any other guys hate maternity class? I feel like an alien in there - like I don't know what's going on at all. I've got a solid B, but the whole thing is so uninteresting to me that I'm having trouble forcing myself to study for it now that the end of the semester is here. I guess I'm not really looking for advice, just wondering whether or not this is common. There aren't many guys in my class.

Ironically, my girlfriend (soon-to-fiance) is going to be an OB/GYN. lmao.

Headed in for my final in just a little bit.  I have a decent amount of breathing room but still nervous..

Overall I didn't hate OB as much as I thought I would, but definitely won't be my practice environment as a nurse..

UPDATE: I've made a 72 on my second exam but managed to rock our Newborn midterm with an 88 bringing my average up by 4 points!! ??????

Did you manage to pass this beast of a class?

I actually ended up doing very well, but the OB class at my program is well established and the curriculum is vetted and continuously tweaked.

I’m now in Peds, and quite worried..

Congrats!! and yeah, Peds is another beast of a class as well.....children are not little adults like some people think. For any hard specialty class I usually buy like supplementary guides to help me out, like the Reviews and Rationale Series, they break down the material into what you need to know and skip all the fluff. This book helped me a lot when studying for Peds. Check it out if you get a chance:
