LPN'S

I have to say that if you encounter an RN who is demeaning and condescending towards subordinates, you can bet the family jewels that that person is as equally rude outside the workplace....not that it makes it acceptable. It is their twisted nature. Some people just don't seem to understand how much more difficult their jobs are after they've alienated the help (whether the help is vertical or lateral). They'll simply chalk it up to a horrible shift as opposed to a moment of self-reflection.

I'm a LPN student and I just don't understand why everyone is so focused on what type of education you have as a nurse. The way I see nursing is there's always room for advancement, that's part of the appeal but it dosen' t make anyone better than the other person. Who cares if RNs work more in hospitals and LPNs work in LTC and clinics. Nobody is "just" an anything, we are going or went through the hell known as nursing school and deserve the title nurse.
