Hi All
I recently had meeting with college network rep. This is quite a pricey investment for a lpn to Associates in Nursing. With my hours at work, I work at a large residency family practice, online courses seem best. Does anyone have any information on taking online courses with Excelsior @ Regis University through this network. Or any other online RN program would be helpful. Thanks Mew

Moved to the Distance Learning forum for more feedback.
Please be aware that the College Network is not a distance nursing program or a degree-granting entity. They are nothing more than an overpriced publishing company that sells testing materials which will eventually lead to a nursing degree from Excelsior. Therefore, you can earn your distance-based degree from Excelsior without ever having to sign up with the College Network.
I hope you have not signed a contract with the College Network, as there's no way to cancel once you have signed on the dotted line.
Thank you very much! Just what I needed to hear. Have a great day. Mew:wink2:

College Network is "The Middle Man". They want part of the action so they pretend to be part of the EC because they hope people will trust what they are saying and not investigate the whole picture. NOT! They came to my house also but I got educated and found out for myself. Save yourself 3-5 grand and go directly through Excelsior College. You can buy those $500 College Network modules on ebay for $20-$50. Thats exactly what I did and I sold them right back after I was finished.
Thanks so much for your info. Thank God I didnt sign anything. Im going to check out Ebay too.I'm going to apply at my community college as soon as I can. It seems this would be the best way cost effectively anyway.
Thanks for your info. Im still trying to figure out how this site works. I wish you the best. Good luck and best wishes with your eduacation and degree.

You have 3 days after signing your contract to cancel ... otherwise, I'm afraid you're bound by the terms of the contract you signed. Sorry!

I am afraid that you are bound to the contract and you have to pay because they WILL get their money. I've heard that they can have your paychecks garnished if you stop paying. The best advice I can give you is to press forward and used the product that you puchased and finish the program. I completed Excelsior and passed the NCLEX 2 weeks ago and I used College Network modules to pass my nursing exams. I did not sign with college network, instead I bought them off Ebay for $30 a module. I paid $20 for the Microbiology module. Good Luck and keep plugging at it.
