LPN SCHOOL HELP

Published

Good evening everyone! I hope everyone is having a good start to the weekend!

I completed LPN school in the 2013-2014 year. I passed all the classes med surg, Pharm, anatomy etc.. However the school requires taking a exit HESI exam before we graduate. They give you two tries to pass with a 900. I failed both attempts. The last attempt was one day before graduation. They gave us a "tutor" which entailed the teacher not even helping us understand why were getting the questions wrong. I paid over $17,000 for this program and I would really like to be able to use a LPN license. The school is being very unhelpful with making me successful. I am looking for any advice. !

If you didn't graduate there's unlikely anything you can do. What I would look into is local LPN programs which may consider your courses. It's been 4 years and honestly, most schools may not take your credits. If you received all the credits for the courses, you could talk to someone at another school about transferring.

That sucks, but after four years I can't imagine there's any chance you'll change their minds. My nursing program required a HESI exam to graduate. I know one girl who failed it three times, but they made an exception and allowed her to take NCLEX anyway. She passed NCLEX on the first try.
