Dec 9, 201015 yr Not to be too snarky, but what research have you done so far besides posting here asking these questions? Google is your friend. Here is a link that will show you most of the nursing programs in VA. You can go through the list and find out the web sites or contact information to narrow down you search. Good Luck.http://www.discovernursing.com/jnj-name_-type_All-state_VA%2c-degree_lpn%2c-enrollment_-online_0-dsc-program_results.aspx
May 24, 201115 yr update i got in the henrico technical center lpn programAre you talking about Saint Marys-Henrico School of Practical Nursing? If so I got in too, maybe we can exchange info:)
May 24, 201115 yr Yay me too! I've been on here looking for other students in the program. Are you attending in the morning or afternoon and which center are you attending? I think I'm going tho chose Highland Springs since my sister attended there last year
May 24, 201115 yr Author Im going to the afternoon session at Hermitage How did your sister like it? do you know where the clinicals will be?
May 25, 201115 yr I decided to go to Highland Springs since she said the teachers were great and she can kinda give me an idea of what they look for and what they focus on. She said they did their clinicals at st marys hospital, broad st center, children's hospital, central state mental ward, the wic office, cedarfield, a blood pressure clinic, and some of they went to some of the highschools but I forgot why she said they went to the schools.
Jun 10, 201115 yr Do you mind if I ask how much the class cost? This was one I was looking into as well (the Hermitage location), and what were your tests/pre-reqs?Thanks
Jun 11, 201115 yr I dont have the exact price on me right now, but its under 5000. There are no Pre-reqs, and you have to take the Teas V test which was about 3 hours long.
Jun 11, 201115 yr Thank you! I've taken the TEAS before, when I was at MCI, but I left after a semester, bc that school is NOT worth it. I may consider this, because all the CNA programs I can find are between $1000-1200. Seems like a lot of money to spend for so little, especially when there are LPN-RN bridge classes.
