Looking for work in so. Calif.

Let me tell you...

My son is possibly looking to get picked up by an agent and manager for some acting work. He's been into acting for a couple of years and is 13 years old.

The agents want him down in Calif. in Jan or Feb (pilot season) so I'm looking for either agency (preferred) or a good LTC facility where I could pick up a flexible noc shift.

Any ideas that anyone could share with me would be appreciated. I've already started the process of getting my Calif. license and am looking at getting down there maybe the middle of Jan.

I'd also be interested in hearing of places where I could park a RV while we're there. We'd be living in that for a 3 month trial of California.

I'd appreciate it.

I know nothing about California. I need to be educating myself on the names of cities and their proximity to Hollywood.

This is a scary move for me. I'm not a city person by any means but am willing to give this move a try to give my son his shot at acting.

The only thing I really know about Ca. is that they have helmet laws (I'm taking my bike too).

I suppose that should be my first start. Finding out something of the geography and then where to find employment in that area.

I'm looking forward to seeing the ocean and other sites. I'll miss my mountain home and of course my family (those who stay).

This will be the first time we are separated.

Think about the San Bernadino mtns--closer to what you're doing now, but very close to LA. Buy some maps. Loma Linda University is in the San Bernadino area. I wonder if there is something like an American Hospital Assoc or JACHO listing of Home health agencies, LTCs, etc.

Good luck Rusty--get that helmet!!

I just saw your reply today. I will check with my brother. I love the Ventura, Ojai and Santa Barbara area. Housing is very high..very..

Do you want a SNF/ALTAC or LTC?

Russell are you still posting and in the club? I have not seen your posts for some time.
