So I live in CA and applying for nursing programs here is like getting into fort knox, even with great grades. I was wondering if anyone knows any good out of state colleges out there that doesn't require me to wait until i need to retire to get my RN. Thanks i appreciate it.

My sister went to nursing school in North Carolina and says they have so many programs that it was easy to get into the school she wanted. That's a long way from California, but I do know Oregon and Washington are both highly competitive. I'm from Oregon, and currently live in Washington.
Do you know the name of any of those schools

Have you completed pre requisites? The colleges where I'm at in Northern Nevada(just past the Cali border) are not too horribly difficult to get into.

Would you be able to recommend a few in your area. I'm interested in checking them out to see if I can expand my net a little wider than just praying to get into only WGU.
Western Nevada College in Carson City NV
Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno NV
Carrington is a career school that is super expensive, but people swear by their education.
So far, I got into my first school with science grades of A in AP1&AP2, B in Micro, and B+ in Chemistry.
Apparently, University Nevada Reno is also starting to do differently with how they accept people, however I have no idea the difficulty of their acceptance.
