how long did u wait for your ATT?

Published

i had sent in all my required paperwork to the state board of ed. on Dec 1st and registered with pearson vue on Dec 7th and still have not gotten my ATT. i called the board of ed last week and they told me my info had been cleared and my authorization to test is there but had not been processed yet so it will take another 1-2 weeks till i get it!!! so at this point it is now about 6 weeks i am waiting.

the facility i am working for hired me under the pretense that i would be taking the nclex within approx 2 months after they hired me (i began working there right after graduation). now the last 1 1/2 weeks they have been asking me everyday if i heard about my board date yet. i tell them no and get a "not so good" look from the nurse/site manager....kinda as if i am BS'ing them.....and it makes me feel as if my job is in jeopardy. it seems all the other LPNs (some that just took the nclex as recent as 6 months ago) have gotten thier ATT in about 2 weeks.

with the time my info was sent it, and being the "board of ed", there was thanksgiving, christmas, and new years...so they had alot of time off, that is the only reason i can see for the long delay......but it seems my job may be "on the line" cause of this.

Pearson-Vue will not release the ATT until they have clearance from your state. Not sure where you are located, but it takes on average five to six weeks for most states, and when you throw in two holiday weeks, then that gets added on as well.

hi, i am in NY. the ATT comes from the state board of ed, than given to you and pearson-vue respectively. once the state board of ed releases your ATT, than u can get your test date with pearson-vue.

it is actually the state board of ed holding this up, not pearson-vue.

also, all the LPN's in my area (that actually went to the same school i did) are saying that they had their ATT in 2 weeks after sending in the required paperwork.

so now it is 4 weeks past the "norm", and when i called, having them tell me my ATT has been cleared but not processed and it is gonna take another 1-2 weeks to process is quite disturbing.....i mean they have cleared/checked/approved me, but another 1-2weeks to send me a letter?

now i wonder how long it will be after i get the ATT to get a test date?

6 weeks ago i was already getting the "pre nclex jitters"...they have gone and i now have the ATT jitters.

To all of the waiting people: it all depends on which state and when your paperwork was first sent to the B.O.N.

I completed school on October 14, which was the same day my paperwork was sent to the California B.O.N. I received my ATT approximately 5 weeks later on November 21. I took my NCLEX examination on December 28 and received the results on January 9.

I applied in Kentucky and sent in all of my paperwork and within 1 week I had my ATT. I could not believe that I had gotten it so fast. Anyway I applied at the end of June and took my NCLEX on July17th and was able to view the results on line in 48 hours. I began my orientation on July 20th. I really think it has to do with the time of the year that you apply. You have alot of new grads applying in December and May.

I guess it all depends on the state you're in. I'm in PA and graduated Dec. 16th, took NCLEX Jan. 11. I had my ATT in less than a week through email ans was able to register. It took longer for me to get it in the mail.

The PN program that I went to was in VA. We sent off our applications to the state nursing board on oct 31, 2005. We graduated on dec 13, our transcripts were sent out right away. I received my att on dec 21, and took my boards on jan 3, and was license on jan 4.
