Just curious how long it is taking/or took you all to finish this program. I'm pretty slow, but picking up the pace now that I have more free time!! Also, it makes me kind of nervous that at anytime the state could decide not to accept EC college for the boards!!! I'm praying this doesn't happen in Massachusetts.

Started March 2009/Graduated June 2010. Passed boards July 2010!

Florida had a policy that my application would go in front of the board for approval before I could sit. However; policies change and then July 1st Florida go the approval from the govenor that we could sit for boards without going in front of the state board of nursing. Look into your state policies; keep an eye on them. Also, you could sit for another state and then endorse into Mass. Well... check the policy for that too.

Good luck!

I started in 9/2009 and have only tested on Info literacy & Health and Saftey. I lost huge amt of time due to illness and then certification for work so I am just starting up again now. I had a 4.0 and hope I can maintain it! I only have the nursing theory exams and the lifespans to do so I am really hoping to do one test per month. I am constantly in fear that my state will do the same thing California or Georgia did, but when I first enrolled the MN state board of nursing actually recommended Excelsior to me on the phone.

Best to get with the program and finish as quickly as possible. I can vouch for the experience of having life circumstances getting in the way. I ended up going to the end for the CPNE, into two extensions, then could not get the fees and expenses to finish. So all that time and money wasted. Again, I can't stress enough that you should finish as soon as possible.
