Please take the time to do some reading on this forum and you will find that there is much more that is required to be able to work in Australia as an RN.

Sure, the CGFNS exam is not required, nor is the NCLEX exam as those are for licensure in the US only.

You need to have almost perfect scores on the IELTS exam and you will have to complete their licensing process once you get thru the bridge program, and if you do not pass that exam; then you need to leave the country as your visa is based on you being able to work there as an RN. And notice that there is no fee schedule posted with it, and it is not done for free.

There is already much written on this topic here, suggest that you just do a search. It is not as easy as what is written in what you have posted.

Hi maam Suzanne!

Im new here. And i am a newly registered nurse too. Recently ive been studying my options on where to work abroad considering i have only 2 months of hospital exposure as of now. I understand that in Australia, i have to undergo the CAS program. I would like to ask you personally if you have any idea or present konwledge about ASNM-ASNC?

thanks a lot.

take care.

Working in Australia is not easy as you mentioned. A friend of mine started to study Nursing in Newcastle Uni last year, but gave up and left back to her country. I have heard that in the big cities-Sydney and Melbourne- do not have any shortage of nurses any more. The officer in Councils/Board said there are too many nurses who are waiting to get registration. It means you need to go to small cities or countryside to get a job. (Of course, if you are native English speaker, it's different story then!)

Also, you need to have enough money to support yourself until you finish your study. It is dream you earn enough money to cover your life and study here while you are studying.

Lastly, you must need good experience in nursing to get good nursing job. Although you finish your course here, if you do not have good experience, you need to start from GNP.

I am sorry I need to tell you negative side. But you need to make sure those aspects before you leave your county.

Australian government need a good skilled-communicable nurses not just nurses.

Specializes in Medical surgical nursing.

That's a scam from some greedy recruiting agency :angryfire

I am sorry but this seems scam, it is never that easy to register as a nurse, and of course that does not happen in OZ. Esperience, language, and skills must be assessed by the board of nursing of the province case by case, please do a research on this topic, and you ll find out more.
