Does anyone know of a website that sells Littmann stethescopes at a lesser price? Maybe one that is having a sale? I have been to allheart.com and their prices are pretty decent...so many different models...some are around 50$ are those as good quality? I
have also tried ebay but im not a big fan of ebay....anyone have an old one they want to sell?
Im a nursing student and we are going over heart and lung sounds right now...my steth is a cheap one I picked up from the bookstore...it has two tubes and i'd really like another model that is better quality...but being a poor student money is always an issue...sigh...lol....

if you work at a hospital, see if you can order one through the supply department... also, the nursing student association usually has sales in my area where they collect orders. they are cheaper than at the stores, and the proceeds go to the NSNA.
interesting...is there a website for the NSNA? thanks:)

Try this website: http://www.stethoscopes.to
They have the Littman Classic II for $55.99, and other Littmans too.

how do i know which one to get? i mean which one is the best?
There was a thread here, don't remember the title, but a lot of people were saying they like the Classic II. I've heard nothing but praise for Littman. I guess it just depends on what you need. My school requires a dual head stethoscope so I ordered the Classic II.
how do you like it? is it better than most? is it easier to abnormal heart sounds with it?
I just got it in the mail today, so I haven't really tried it yet. But I took a quick listen to my own heart and breathing, and it came in loud and clear. I have a murmur and a MVP (it clicks) so I'm going to find a quiet place and see if I can hear those. I'll let you know!

Try Ebay. They sell a whole bunch of Littman's there for cheap. Don't worry, most of them aren't used.

A thing to consider is what kind of nursing you are hoping to get into. If it will be in critical care or a CCU you may want to consider a cardiology II (i have it and love it) well worth the extra $$$
Hm that seems to be the consensus...all my teachers say its well worth the extra money.....maybe for my bday:)
