I got the dreaded rejection email today, but they invited me to apply again in March.

No honey this is not a "wake up call" this is a "nothing worth having if it is giving to you". Everything I have in my life I worked my a off for so this internship is NO different. If all the greats in our world gave up because of one rejection letter where would we be? I may say I quit or I'm giving up but that's just words. The fighter in me never allows myself to give up. As I type I have a new plan of attack for next month. One rejection from them doesn't mean they are a horrible company in which you describe, it means they are wanted and if your wanted that means you have to be doing something right.

No :-( a friend of mine did. She said it was weird they rejected her in an email then they called for phone interview for next month.

I wanted to know how common that was.
