Hey guys, im a new grad who just passed boards and im going to be leaving the country for a year at the end of march. Ill be practicing as a medic (no hospital time) and I was wondering about some good reading material on critical care/emergency nursing to keep me up to snuff while im away. These are the fields ill be getting into when I get back. Any good suggestions I would really appreciate it!

congratulations on your latest accomplishment :yeah:here are a few books that are worth reading, however, some of them are a bit expensive. 1. acccn's critical care nursing 2nd edition by doug elliott rn,phd 2. emergency & critical care pocket guide by paula derr, & laura criddle, i use to keep a earlier edition in my pocket while working in ed. 3. real world nursing survival guide:critical care & emergency nursing by lori schumacher, cynthia c. cherneckey, a colleague of mine just read this last one and she likes it. wishing you all the best in all of your future endeavors...aloha~
