How taboo is it to leave a RN job as a new grad after six months? I had to relocate for this job and had high hopes for the new area/position. I thought my husband (who was also looking for work) would find a job up here. However, I've been lonely and miserable ever since I've been up here. I don't like the new area at all, and I don't know anybody up here. Additionally, my husband landed a job 3 hours away from here, and we're living separately now. I work night shift and my schedule doesn't usually give me 4 days off in a row or weekends off, so I'm only seeing him twice a month right now.
The orientation was only one month, so I've been out of orientation for a while--that's not a problem. I haven't had any bad evaluations or really too many problems with my manager/coworkers at work. It's really personal issues more than anything that makes me want to leave. I would keep this job for a while if my living situation was different.
