Learningext any good?

i'm thinking about purchasing the 3 weeks program from ncsbn.

is it worth the money? would this really help me with the nclex board exam? i've been doing suzannes plan so far and i think it's working out just fine but i would like to do ncsbn on the side too. please tell me your opinion if it's worth purchasing ncsbn 3 weeks program or not?

I might be wrong but I think Suzanne's plan is only using Saunders. I did the learningtext during my last week of studying and really liked it but I was also bored to tears with Saunders by that point. Good luck!

i am using ncsbn course review (3 weeks subscription). it is a good additional tool to use for nclex preparation. the content can be lengthy, but i like the questions and rationales they have. if you can afford kaplan book ($35.00) it is worth it because they teach you different strategies to tackle nclex questions. of course saunders is one of the best out there!

many people also praised kaplan for passing the test. i heard that the kaplan question bank is very good!

ncsbn is a decent review though! personally i like it!

Saunders rationales are very good and I've been doing 100 q's a day. But, I would like to start on learningext as well and not wait until the end.

I have the kaplan strategies book which is 2007. WHich one do you have?

NCSBN, what do u mean it's decent review?

I had done Kaplan and also Saunders' 4th edition. I paid for the NCSBN and only really used it once or twice. In my particular situation, I wouldn't pay for it again.

If you're only using one other resource, then perhaps it would be a good alternative for you.

Best wishes!!!

I have the 2008-2009 Kaplan book. NCSBN is a good review and I like it. You get around 800 Nclex styles questions plus content review and rationales.

Ok thanks. I guess I will purchase it

Hi Sweetmya,

I took the 5 week course from NCSBN and loved it. I thought it was a prefect review... My nursing faculty recommended it to me, I also had several classmates who took their courses.

I passed with 75 questions as did my ENTIRE nursing class (woo hoo for us!)

Good luck and happy studying!
