I just applied with 52 points (I'm holding my breath that the cutoff stays the same as last year). Sounds like we will know by the end of next week?? Good luck to you!
I really dont think it will go up, but that is what I am relying on at this point. Good luck to you as well!!

I got some bad news, I talked to the director today at LCC and the points went up to 55 this year, I dont know how many alternates there are or even if I made it as one. I guess nursing may not be the thing for me. I have a 3.86 GPA and can not get an ADN.

I applied with 54 points and am on the alternate list. I am in the regular program starting this fall, but its a bummer though. Nothing is a safe margin now, 54 or 55 or 60. you never know.

I also applied with 54 points and am on the alternate list. Oh well, I guess there's always next year?
I am also an alternate, I wounder how many alternates typically get in to the program. I also wounder since the GPA was so high this year if there will be more alternates due to students taking seats in other programs. Just keeping optimistic. I guess I will have to wait and pray.

Hi there. I was pretty discouraged/disappointed this week to receive my letter that I was placed as an alternate. Trying to remain positive...but tough. I applied with 54 points. I had a 4.0 GPA by the grace of God but that doesn't mean a thing here. I feel really bad for all those who worked so hard and sacrificed much in this process. It's amazing how it keeps jumping. Well, guess I need to make some decisions about my next steps here. Does anyone know how/if alternates are ranked and if so, is it random or do they use other criterion? I know there are 14 alternates for accelerated program this year. Does anyone know what the cut off was for the two year program was this year?
Thanks and best wishes to you all. Hang in there. It will happen.
The alternates are placed in random order if a seat comes open. The cutoff for the traditional program was 80 so if you had 54 points like me for the accelerated program you would have 85 for the traditional next admission process which I think will be enough for next year. Good Luck
Thanks denit1am for the info.
Very helpful and much appreciated. All the best to you!
Yup, the alternates are selected randomly. I'm #16 out of 18. Ouch! I guess I'll be applying to the two year program next spring. It just sucks having to wait another year to start. Congrats and good luck to all who were accepted.
