Lasik mistake??

Did you definately have Lasik (not PRK) in both eyes? Both of my eyes were bad, really bad. I think I was at like a -6.25, and -6.50 or something equally horrible. I couldn't even see the big E on the eye chart, just that there was an area of the wall that was a different color!

I had lasik done to my left eye. It took a few days to completely clear up, but the day of surgery it was already way better than before I'd had it done. My right eye was soooooo bad and my cornea was thinner, so I had to have PRK on it. It took about a week before I was seeing well with that side.

I have heard that some docs aren't very detailed when explaining the difference, that would be my best guess for why you're still blurry. It'll clear up, just try to be patient and use your drops as ordered.

I remember having a few of those freak out "Why am I still blurry!" moments too, but my vision is still better now than I could get with my glasses or contact before surgery, it was 4 years ago in January. If you're concerned, definately call/visit your doc though, it'll give you peace of mind.

I most definitely had Lasik, not PRK. My corneal thickness was not a problem. My RX was 10.25 in Left eye, 8.75 in right eye. I am not worried at this point. I have my one week follow-up on Thursday. I just wondered what the experience was for others that had the procedure and how long it took to see clearly. I know it probably will take longer for me because of my high RX. Again, I just wanted to know others recovery experience, not medical advice!

If you are still having problems - best best is to contact your eye doctor again.

I agree...the best thing to do is err on the side of caution...that way, at minimum, things can be tracked with the physician.

Problems with this type of surgery do happen, but are rare. Most physicians won't even consider you if they think there is the slightest chance it won't work out.

I had mine on Thursday and worked Saturday if I recall correctly. Could have worked the next day actually if i wanted.

Yeah I had it done and worked the next day eve shift. My vison was fine, had to use the drops every 1-2 hours or so but other then that no problems.

Everyone is different though so I would not worry too much at this point.....what did your doc tell you? I would call first thing in the AM and just touch base and make sure this in not something to worry about just to feel better.
