Langara Fall 2016 intake

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum but have been reading quite a bit on Langara's nursing program. I've applied for Fall 2016, hoping I'll get in (fingers crossed!!!). Is there anyone else who is applying for Fall 2016??

And what are your GPA's? Mines currently at an average of 3.4. Also, does anyone know if they take the average GPA of the 5 required courses and base admissions on that or is it calculated individually?

Thanks! :)

It's calculated on the 5 admission requirements :) Mine unfortunately is only a 3.1 so I don't think I will be getting in but it looks like I'll be going to Douglas Fall 2016! Best of luck I hope you get in!

Thanks for your reply! Oh no :( well all the best to you, whichever school you get into :)

Was your GPA exactly 3.4? Goodluck!!

i applied with a 3.6! I believe they calculate it based on the average of your 5 required courses

I have friends who have attended both langara and douglas and both have decent programs. But I've heard douglas has some iffy instructors and can be biased and racist. I chose Langara over the other schools because its the closest school to me, much more convenient! All the best to you!

I would chose Douglas over Langara because it's much closer for me now and most of the girls that I did the academic foundations of nursing will be in the same class again. I have heard amazing things about Langara though.
