I'm doing the questions on this book and does anyone feel that this book is really hard? I'm on Chapter 6 respiratory and I keep getting the wrong answers!!!

At first I thought the book was hard, after reviewing some content from my Saunders book and doing the first 2 chapters I started to get better scores. I didnt like it at first but now its essential. I did the first 8 chapters and 3 case studies. My exam is this week and I plan on finishing the last 9 chapters by tuesday, the are pretty short.
This is my 2nd time taking the exam so I know you will see questions like the ones in the book. If the answers are too hard, make sure you go over the rationales, and if you still dont get it look it up in a review book like Saunders.
For my chapter 6 respiratory I got 6 wrong which gave me 76%. I read the respiratory chapter in Saunders, try to correlate the chapters with a review book.

If you are thinking it is too hard, that means you are not comfortable with your CORE CONTENT.........read over the correlating chapter in your Saunders Comprehensive or if you have Hurst Review videos, listen to her lecture. LaCharity book is essential to passing NCLEX-RN.
This is from someone who finally passed a couple of weeks ago on my 3rd attempt........all the best.

Maybe you need to take a short break from the book. When you come back with a fresh mindset, actually start over from the beginning to see if anything is more clear.

I was doing fairly well until chapter 6 (54%). ouch!
I dont think hurst review respiratory system prepares you for lacharity respirtory questions.
I will revist the respiratory chapter of one of my review books :)

i thought i was the only one who felt that some questions on this book is hard. but i managed to understand the rationales by reading saunders while checking my answers. Many said that this book is really helpful in preparation for the test. Honestly i suck at case study part and i felt depress about it but i was able to get over it. i just said to myself, its better to get mistakes now and learn the right answers than get many mistakes during the test. :). my exam date is fast approaching and i just continue to do my best...

I wasn't getting good scores either that I put it down and went back to Saunders. Two weeks before my exam I picked it up again. What I did was read the Q, answer, and look at the rationale right away.
