I know, this forum is one of my favorites, too. :) I learn something every time I log on, it seems!

Totally agree!! And this thread is the BEST. If not for this thread I may have thrown in the nursing towel. I was an LPN in sub-acute care, got RN, the only job I could get was acute rehab-med surg in a community hospital. This was the LAST unit that I would want to work, but given the job shortage I had to take it. I have wanted to be in the ED from the get go. I have done ACLS, PALS, TNCC, am studying for CEN now, still can't get into an ED in this area without ED experience. I am in southern Massachusetts. As I said, if not for this thread keeping my hopes alive, I may have given up by now.
Many thanks to all of you!!

When you log onto allnurses and go to specialty to click the ER icon it tells ya how many nurses are looking at the ER portion. "We" always have the most nurses using this site. ER nurses rock!
