KCC Nursing Program/NLN Exam

Hi...I am applying to the Kapiolani Community College nursing program for Spring 2009. I did a lot of searching for inside scoop of the program with little luck and I am curious to know what other people who are applying to the program scored on the NLN. I have a GPR of 3.7 and have completed all of my pre and co-reqs. My NLN exam score was 129. Please feel free to share your scores, I am sure we all would like to see what are prospective "competition" is. Also, if you have graduated or are in the KCC program, please share your experience--:yeah:and scores:)..!!!!Lots of luck to all of you!!!

You might have better luck with posting this in the regional section under Hawaii. I have heard the KCC program is very difficult to get into, I think they accept 35-ish people each semester. I went to a briefing about a year ago, but I am soon to be moving so I couldn't apply.

Good Luck in nursing school!

i applied for fall 08 with all A's in my pre-req's and a 154 NLN. i got alt listed. mostly b/c i only had 1 or 2 of the co-reqs done. KCC doesn't count the stuff you're currently takin when you apply so my Micro, A&PII etc i took this past spring didn't count. so yea those co-reqs are pretty important. i should pretty much be guaranteed acceptance for spring 08 at KCC but after talking to the advisors at UHM they said i shouldn't have trouble getting in there either so i'm prolly gonna go for the BSN instead.

btw there's a couple KCC nursing students that post on forumshawaii.net in the "school life" section. they can give a lot of insight as to what you need to get in as they've talked to the KCC advisors on many occasions. not too many of them come on here since the Hawaii section is pretty dead most of the time though.
