Just my luck!

My backpack was stolen with my notes and laptop inside. I am livid! I'm taking finals all week. I don't have any notes to help me prepare. One of my test is a "notes only" test no textbook. Due to the fast pace of the summer term my short-term memory is very limited. I can't remember much. I've asked other cohorts for notes but they either are behind or didn't really take many notes. The professor said; there is nothing he can do. I'm screwed!

Well how is everyone else studying for the test if they are so far behind or didnt take notes? You said its a "notes only" test but what is the professor pulling his information for lectures on? Textbook? PowerPoint? Or are you saying you can use notes on your test and not the textbook? Sorry im little confused.

This is a probability & statistic class our lectures are online (math lab). The course exams are based on your completion of each module. Not everyone in the class is on module 5 like myself. Which means they will may flunk the class. I have two exams left in the class with one being a notes only test; in other words, we are not allowed to use textbooks nor online lectures on that particular exam. Furthermore, I don't have any notes to refresh my memory before both exams. There is only seven students in the class including me. The ones that are on module 5 either don't want to share the notes or I can't really understand their notes.

Hmm, interesting situation. The only thing I can think of is if you can go back and retake parts of the module you are going to be tested on or just practice/refresh your memory using outside sources before the test.

Formulas or ideas about the types of statistical tests are going to be your best bet. You're probably going to have to comb through all the course materials, but it'll be worth it to make a new set of notes you can use on the test. It sucks, but not as bad as not using the "gimme" that is being able to use notes on a test.
