JTCC Spring 2017 RN Program

Hello, I would like to hear from others that applied to the 2017 JTCC RN program. What has your experience been like thus far? How well did you do on your TEAS V? ( I am very nervous about my score as I didnt do as well as I had hoped.) I got a 68% on overall with a 3.0 GPA and I applied for both tracks. I hope to hear something soon!

Mid-October will be here sooner than you think! I am guessing that the professors have to find time to get together and go over the applications. At least I think that is what I heard, that the nursing teachers are the ones who chose their students. I am really busy with classes and family this semester so my time is flying by. I am trying to take as many classes towards my bsn as possible so that I can focus on nursing classes later. And all I have left to take for my associate of science is the second term of general biology. I think the only class left for my bsn (after this semester) is some sort of communication class that is required for my school. I will probably take a couple language classes too if possible to add to my applications because I know from experience that people with more than one spoken language are often seen as a great asset to a business/hospital. Do you have a back up plan? I am unsure what the heck I will do if I don't get in. I was thinking about majoring in science but have no idea what I would do after that? I will more than likely just retake my TEAS exam and try to score in the 90's and resubmit my application with a stronger gpa (hopefully after this semester) and stronger personal statement. I think I waited until the last minute last time to submit and if I had more time could've possibly done better on my TEAS and statement. My GPA is a 3.5 I think and TEAS I scored an 80%

I'm soooooo nervous! BTW, our A&P II professor told us that she participates in Nursing school selection. Seems like they use sciences teachers too. Does anyone know if TEAS are required to get into BSN program? I was thinking if I don't get in I can stay and continue with BSN, just a thought.

Letters are being sent out NEXT WEEK! Per the JTCC nursing dept :)

SO confusing because on the website it says we are being contacted via email? I sure hope it is next week because it will be great to get this all behind us!

and good luck to all of you- sending out good vibes/prayers we all get in!!

My understanding, looking at past boards discussion admission, is that the letters come via email. But you're right, totally confusing.

As we say in theatre, break a leg! Pray that it will all be over soon.

I saw the 2017 nursing class schedules are up.... wow it looks so intense! I am getting really nervous now and hoping that I get in!!! I SO hope we hear this coming week...

Just recvd my acceptance letter, I got in! Best of luck to you all!!!

I just got my letter, I've been accepted!!! I'm so excited, and hopefully some of my hair will grow back I've been pulling out in anxiety ;). Good luck to everyone!

This is legitimately agonizing. I am at work, and I am literally checking email every five minutes. Y'alls' letters came via email, correct?

Also, just for my own curiosity, traditional or hybrid track?
