JTCC Fall 2017 RN Program

Hello everyone, I thought I would start a thread for those of us applying to John Tyler Community College for the 2017 Fall semester starting in August! Everyone needs support, reassurance, tips, guidance or just a listening ear from time to time. And I feel this would be a great way to reach out to others on the same path. So have you completed your pre-reqs or are you taking them in the spring? Have you taken the TEAS? Which track are you applying for? Just some questions but feel free to tell/ask anything you'd like! :)

ABraden6353, I was told 4-6 weeks. I am sooo nervous. Which track did you apply for?

You and me both...I applied for the traditional track! When was the application deadline? I'm assuming it's 4-6 weeks after that?

Correct. I have been checking my email everyday. I know that when I finally see it in my inbox I'm going to be scared to click on it.

Hello all, new to this forum and allnurses in general. I have been keeping up with the post since applying to gain a little more info on when we should be hearing back and I heard from a friend that the acceptance/rejection letters have been made. I think they are just going over the lists and making sure they can be sent. I think we should hear sometime this week. Hopefully tomorrow because the anxiety is killing me. Good luck to everyone!

ltoney, what track did you apply for?

Traditional track. You?

Do you know if they send it out via email or regular mail?? Every time my email bings on my phone, my heart races...then I see that it's some sort of junk mail....sigh.

Best of luck to everyone!

They send it to your VCCS email.

I am getting so tired of waiting. I'm hoping they send it before Wednesday because I have an interview totally unrelated to healthcare that I really don't want to go to. If I get into school before the interview then I'm just going to cancel. But I can't turn down this job just yet if I don't know. Frustrating having to wait so long.

Talked to the education center this morning. They stated if not by the end of this week then definitely early next week.

I wonder if I call, they could just tell me over the phone....hahaha!
