Ok...i got offered a student nurse/ cna job at a hospital, potential RN job in future, they said. It was a verbal offer, if my background check cleared. But, I have a past... I was arrested, for a domestic violence dispute. It was dismissed before I went to court. I have the paper on hand of my dismissal, just in case. Will that hurt my chances of getting the job? Will they see it on my record even if it was dismissed? I really, need and want the job...what's doing to happen if they see it on there?Any info greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it will not show on your record. Did your nursing school perform a check?
You could run your own background check for about $40.

depends on how the hospital looks at it. Some only care about felonies or recent events. The real question is whether the board of nursing will allow you to be licensed after nursing school. Good luck!!

You can pull your own background check online for a fee or you can go down to your local court house where the charges took place and pull your report also. This way it will let you see for yourself what will show up.
