Ivytech fall 2013

Thought I'd see who else is waiting for "the letter"?? I applied to several programs and will take any of them!

Great job! I didn't do so well on the TEAS. I don't understand how weighing the score changes things. Can you explain? My score was 74.7% with science being my lowest (60.4). I know how to get your score for the program, but I don't understand how it seems to change things for people.

Thanks!

Ivy Tech weighs the science a bit higher (30%) than the reading and grammar (both 25%), and weighs the math a little bit lower (20%). I don't think it's changed anyone's scores by more than maybe 1-2% though. Grammar was my weak spot, I don't english very good

Yahoo, I understand that. I just don't understand how it helps. lol. Certainly doesn't help me :-p. Have you heard any other scores.

That was supposed to say yah. Not yahoo lol

Oh lol, misunderstood what you wrote. I'm pretty sure it didn't help me either, but a friend of mine from 201 had her score go up a % or so after it got weighed. Think she applied with a 179, but her and I were the only RN-hopefuls that I can recall. Other than that, I know a few scores have been put up on the ivy tech site.

I'll be going in to the nursing department tomorrow to update a few things, gonna try and find out scores and numbers too while I'm there.

Ok. If you don't mind, please post anything you find out. I am going crazy! Lol

I will be stalking this site tomorrow to see what you say!!

What is you're name on ivy tech forum?

Did you learn anything new?

I would love to find out if anything new was discovered as well! Until now, I have been doing really well waiting on the letter; however, although still early, I am finding myself thinking about it ALL the time.

Well I applied for the paramedic/rn program at the lawrence campus...so yea I am anxiously awaiting my letter as well! I also applied for some RT programs at Lawrence, Bloomington, and Terre Haute because I like both career fields soooo..they are sending out letters at the same time! UGH! So I will see where life takes me!

0_o are the medic-RN letters being sent out at this week!?

If so, several medics in my ER app'd and I need to start harassing them!!
