IV Certification

I am a licensed pharmacy technician currently in school for LVN. I am aware that I can get IV certified in order to work with IV's in a pharmacy setting. I am being told by my current nursing instructors that I need to get LVN IV certified after I graduate. Can I get IV certified now using my pharmacy tech license and use it along with my LVN license? Or is the IV certification for LVN completely different from Pharmacy tech IV certification? Any advice would help, thanks!

Hospitals usually site certify you. Three witnessed starts with a CNE after taking the hospital course. I'm certified at my hospital but if I move across town, I need to recertify ther in addition.

I could be wrong, but I think the pharmacy IV cert deals with sterile preparation of IV meds, proper mixing/diluting of drugs, etc. An RN or LVN IV cert teaches you how to start and manage IVs. So, I don't think you can use your pharmacy IV cert for nursing.
