hi everyone!! I am a lpn in georgia. can anyone tell me what I need to do to become IV certified? do I need to apply to a phlebotomy program? how long does it take to become certified? I am not sure if this question has been posted before, if so, I apologize. I have searched the internet for information on IV certification but have not had positive results. please help!!

I don't know if this would be what you're looking for, but I am taking a 2day IV certification course offered by a local hospital ( I am in Philadelphia). Maybe there would be something similar in your area..I saw the ad for this class in Nursing2010, so I would suggest looking in there..Good Luck :)

I agree with the previous poster. You would need to take an IV course. As far as I know, phlebotomy wouldn't cover it.

That's online certification right? I want to do this certification too, but online won't work I need hands on.., but here is another site that offer hands on but u have to travel to the places http://www.nurse.com/CEseminars/ Im starting to think GA doesn't have much of nothing here.
