IV certification class

Hi I'm new to allnurses.com

I need to find an IV certification class in the Pacific NW. I live near Portland Oregon, but I am willing to go to Seattle, WA to get certified.

I found a class at Portland Community College but it was cancelled. I am unemployed and want to get trained and use my skills. I have started IV but am a novice. Can anyone tell me what kinds of jobs I should look for to get these skills?

Portland Community College's Institute for Health Professionals has an awesome selection of continuing Ed classes. I've taken a bunch of classes from them. http://www.pcc.edu/business/ihp/

Click on the 'Summer Schedule PDF' on the right, they are offering an IV course on 7/16 & 7/17 (hopefully this isn't the class that was canceled).

A phlebotomist draws blood. Never heard of a phlembosity.
