ITT Tech's new nursing program St. Louis

Published

I was wondering if anyone applied or attended the information session at ITT Tech Earth City location. Curious what the "word on the street" is about this new RN program. Any comments/thoughts? Would love to hear from current students or applicants.

Thanks

I just took a look at their website... it is an Associate degree program, the courses are listed... aside from that not much information. I guess the only real thing you could go off of is to look at ITT's rep in the area overall in other areas and check their accreditation!

I do attend the program and I like it. You should give it a try. They do give you a lot of resourses and help.

How much is it?

I had looked into it as well..but, the one thing that detered me from it was the fact that their website states that there is no guarantee that your credits will transfer to another college/university/instution..etc if you wanted to advance your career anywhere down the road you would probably have to start from scratch.

Specializes in NICU, High-Risk L&D, IBCLC.

Another nursing program from a for-profit school. Ugh. I wish these programs would just go away forever.

I urge anyone contemplating an ADN/ASN degree to look within the community college system. I can almost guarantee that if you attend ITT Tech for the ADN/ASN that you will graduate with a ton of debt, be unable to transfer credits for a BSN, and face stiff competition for new grad jobs. If that sounds appealing to you, be my guest. Otherwise, please do your research before handing over your hard-earned money to ITT Tech. Start your research with this video on for-profit schools: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/collegeinc/. Very informative.
