Interview Worries

Hola everyone, longtime lurker here. I've got something that's been bugging me a little and I was wondering if you could help me with it.

Anyways, I just finished my interview for my first ever CNA job today and I kinda goofed. When my evaluator asked me to describe how to do peri care I instead had a brain fart and described how to do oral care. While I did describe how to do the beginning 5 (knock, identify self to resident, provide privacy, etc.) beyond that everything I said was about oral care, not peri. I realized my goof on the way home but by then it was too late to fix the situation unless I wanted to look like I just googled it or something.

So I was wondering, do you guys/gals think that goofing up on a technical/skill based question like that would kill my chances of being hired? I'd like to think I did ok on the rest of the interview but I couldn't see her notes so who knows.

Basically can can anyone with experience in the CNA hiring process chime in. Your opinion would be much appreciated.

(Kinda nervous because while it's a LTC facility which kinda get a bad rep here to me it seems like the perfect job. It's a really nice, new facility with great staff/residents and a location that's super close to my house.)

Email the person you interviewed with and explain that in your nervousness due to being so excited about the opportunity you realized your mistake after you left and wanted to let her know that you know the difference between the two. I wouldn't describe the peri care.
