Hola everyone, longtime lurker here. I've got something that's been bugging me a little and I was wondering if you could help me with it. Anyways, I just finished my interview for my first ever CNA job today and I kinda goofed. When my evaluator asked me to describe how to do peri care I instead had a brain fart and described how to do oral care. While I did describe how to do the beginning 5 (knock, identify self to resident, provide privacy, etc.) beyond that everything I said was about oral care, not peri. I realized my goof on the way home but by then it was too late to fix the situation unless I wanted to look like I just googled it or something. So I was wondering, do you guys/gals think that goofing up on a technical/skill based question like that would kill my chances of being hired? I'd like to think I did ok on the rest of the interview but I couldn't see her notes so who knows. Basically can can anyone with experience in the CNA hiring process chime in. Your opinion would be much appreciated. (Kinda nervous because while it's a LTC facility which kinda get a bad rep here to me it seems like the perfect job. It's a really nice, new facility with great staff/residents and a location that's super close to my house.)
