interview outfit question

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do the blazer and skirt have to be the same color? I plan on wearing a fitted tan blazer (with a simple black shirt underneath), a black pencil skirt and black stockings. My oxford shoes are both black and the same shade of tan as the jacket, so they tie the outfit together. The whole outfit looks nice, but I'm wondering if there's a fashion "rule" where the jacket and skirt have to be the same color?

As long as your outfit looks neat and professional, with no loud, jarring colors, you should be fine. What you describe sounds perfect!
