Interview for L&D unit

I have an interview with an L&D unit that I want to work on. I really want this job and is having a hard time as a new grad finding a job. I was wondering what kind of questions they would asking during an interview. I know the typical why you want to be a nurse, what do you see yourself doing in 5 years, why you want to work here etc... but is there anything out of the ordinary they would ask me?

Be ready to share stories about past clinicals experience, like for an example tell me about time you had to tell a patients something they didnt like and how did you manage to handle such situation, stuff like that. Good luck with the interview LD unit rocks!!

Like what Blackheartednurse said, be prepared to share experiences. There may be some scenario questions. But most importantly, KNOW the hospital, especially their L&D unit since you're interviewing with them. Are there any special kinds of things they do that other hospitals in your area does not do? What are some of their recognition? Show that you know them. It also doesn't hurt to know the hospitals mission, vision, and values.

Best of luck!
