Still going to be hard to get a work visa. OP hasn't been back to give more indication on what experience they have

We don't recommend getting married just for a visa and if going family route there is still a few years waiting for family route depending which category they come under

Whoever is saying the nursing shortage hasn't arrived in Texas is mis-informed. I work in the greater Houston area,

and new grads are finding it very competitive now to find work. Why? Because of statements like the above, which have resulted in people from all over the United States coming to Texas to find work, and because the recession IS hitting Houston now, and nurses who were working part time or per diem before are having to get FT jobs in order to get work, or to help support family due to layoffs of other family members.

My department recently had a single opening - and our recruiter sent us six applicants out of HUNDREDS to interview. Hows that for a shortage? It may have hit us last - but it's here now.
