Can someone point me to a reference for normal INR/ptt for people with various conditions like artificial valves, etc.

Look up coumadin in a good drug reference. Usual therapeutic INRs are 2.0-3.0 and 2.5 -3.5.
Disease INR Range:
DVT/PE 2.0-3.0
Atrial Fibrillation 2.0-3.0
Myocardial Infarction 2.0-3.0
Mechanical Heart Valves 2.5-3.5

I do wish people would learn to do an internet search...here let me do it for you:

I used this search string in google
"inr ptt artificial valve mayo"
Essentially I put in what I want and then add a likely source. Mayo for mayo clinic...cleveland for Cleveland clinic.
Good luck.

I got yelled at by a MD once when calling in lab results..."Nurse, please put this in the chart...DO NOT EVER CALL ME UNLESS THE INR IS LESS THAN 2!!!!" Then I heard the dial tone !...Thanks to that jerk MD, I will NEVER forget the low end of the INR range! Funny how things stick sometimes!!!

Thanks for your effort to be helpful.
I do appreciate your help, but being snarky about it is really unnecessary. Sometimes the pages that google calls up aren't exactly what you're looking for, and you have to wade through pages and pages of irrelevant info. I really was just looking for a simple chart that has the values I need to know on one page. Being that this forum is supposed to be a resource for student nurses, I figured someone would already have found such a table somewhere. Thanks for your effort to be helpful.
So I found what you needed. You are welcome. There is a lovely chart in that document that lists all the types of valves used and ranges -- it is very complete. Took me moments to find it. Like I said people need to learn how to do the searches, hence my inclusion of the search string -- so you could learn. There would be considerably less wading through irrelevant data if you learned how to do this. Google only "calls up" what is asked for by the user. If you don't want to learn to narrow searches just ignore that info and take the results. Can't help you didn't like my tone, but given that I got the info you needed...why would you tell someone off who helped you?
No good deed goes unpunished indeed. I suggest next time least said the better.
