Does anyone out their know of any strictly online college programs, where I can complete my prerequisites without having to come in for proctor testing? I've excepted a travel nurse assisgnment for 13 wks and wanted to take some classes online such as : Math 240 statisitcs, Economics 201 or 202 (Micro Or Macro), History 121 United States History 1, Religion 230 (religion of the world) Any college that will allow me to do all testing online from home or anywhere i choose. All info would be appreciated.

Check out Indiana State University. They have a distant learning program; it may work for you. The distant learning program is completely distant learnig; clinicals (if required) are done in your area.

Ann, in what state do you live? NYS has a great online program. Check out your state university and see what they offer.

I think all programs require proctoring for their math and science exams. Something like religion may not have proctored exams.
Most programs are flexible with setting up proctors. A long as you have a community college nearby, you're probably good to go.
Thanks LA I'll see what information I can find at Indiana University.
Thanks Klone thank God I dont have any sciences to complete, what do you think about the economics, do you think they'll be proctored test for that?
I live in Virginia, I chose all online courses simply so that I can continue to be a travel nurse and go to school. They didnt inform me that I'd have to come in for testing. Another student mentioned it then when I asked they said you might have to come in for some test but didnt say for which class econ, hist, relig?

Proctored tests are required on an individual basis for courses in various schools for math, science, even English classes. Try looking around on the internet. One school will have proctored tests for an algebra class, the next school will not. Proctored test requirements are listed on the schedule of classes.
From what I understand, some nationally known testing sites (the same or similar to the company who proctored your NCLEX exam) will allow you to pay a yearly fee (say $200) to be proctored. You should be able to take the proctored tests anythere in the US....of course, that would have to be checked. There is an association of distant learning programs (or a name something like that) they have a national list available to people seeking proctored testing sites. Additionally, you could ask your facility to proctor you. If they have a medical library and librarian, that may be an easy choice.
Don't let the requirement to have a proctor keep you from your goals. Best.
