Requirements for immigration as well as taking the NCLEX exam are not specific to those from India. They are the same for all that wish to work in the US, no matter which country that they are from.

There are only about 4 states that require CGFNS exam these days, most just require CES from CGFNS. Would suggest checking your state BON out and see what they require. Do you have a visa allowing you to work?

Is it possible for the moderators to make a section exclusively for Indian nurses, and Chinese nurses as well? :heartbeat

The sub-forums that we have here are specific to working in those countries as RNs, not having to do with immigration or licensure issues working in other countries. We try to keep the questions for those countries specific to issues for the nurses already working in those countries. And we do not get many posts of questions specific to working in either China or India. All seem to be geared towards leaving those countries and working in another locale.

If we were to see questions posted specifically to issues with working in those countries, then yes, we could do something. But as far as working abroad, we ask that the questions be posted to the International forum.

All requirements are on the province's website so which province are you thinking of?

hii am on spouse visa. but i got my permenant residancy recently.

I have completed my GNM from jharkhand nursing council about 2 year back and serving in tata main hospital as staff nurse since then.

Now after going through posts i am getting confused. I don't know what registered nurse means.

I have GNM diploma certificate(3,1/2 year course ), So am i a Registered nurse or not?

If not then what i need to become a registered nurse?

Please help...

PS- I am asking this question for what is registered nurse in India. In US there is another exam to be cleeared to become registered nurse. But what about india? A GNM is/equivalent to registered nurse in india?
