So I don't know how it works in your state, but here in FL we have a shot database. Most vaccinations from starting 2000-2002 are in there, even adult vaccinations. Most states have some kind of system similar to this, so I'd suggest visiting or calling the Health Department where you are from?

Can't get ahold of your records? Again, call your local health department and see if they do Program 17 vaccinations. These vaccinations are for adults who are uninsured. You should be able to get Hep B, Tdap, and HPV (not necessary, but good to have) for FREE with Program 17. It is a federal program but not all local health departments provide it. Here in Florida about 75% of them participate I believe. If you have several counties close by it may be worth it to call all of them to find out.

Thank you SO much for this information. The county next to me has a program for the uninsured. I never thought to check out different counties because I know for sliding scale doctors some of them say you have to be in the county they reside in. So I assumed it was the same for stuff like this. I had no idea. I have a doctor's appointment on the 19th and they couldn't tell me exactly how much mine would cost. If it doesn't pan out with them I'll def check out the county that has a program for the uninsured and other counties just in case!

I was over 40 when I applied to nursing school. There was no way for me to get records from 40 years ago! My state has a database I could access (online) to get my immunization records. I found out my mom "forgot" to get me immunized for measles and the hepatitis B vaccine wasn't available then, so I had to get those shots, but they took the department of health records for everything else, no titers required. Oh, and I had chicken pox as a kid. I didn't need a titer for that either.

I got my 4 vaccinations today (or at least the starting doses). I was reading the information sheet about each one and on the chicken pox it says that I shouldn't get any other vaccinations with it. Does anyone think this would be a problem as far as my school is concerned? My doctor didn't mention this...
