I'm New :)

I am preparing to take my first pre-requisite with Rue I studied all available options and felt Rue would aide me with the materials. Anyhow I was wandering once you finish each course, what does the testing consist of? Are there any check offs per say with Ethics, A7P etc. I woudl love to know the testing aspect of it. Tahnk you

Rue is a publishing company. Your degree is awarded by Excelsior College. You can test out for Ethics, A&P, etc. You take your exams at a local testing center, and immediately receive your score.

The exceptions is the CPNE, which is the performance exam done in 1 of the hospital testing centers throughout the US.

I wish you had come here sooner. We would have told you not to go through Rue and could have saved you thousands of dollars. ;)

Excelsior has free course guides on their website, and practice tests for all the nursing courses. They are invaluable.

Thank you. I understood that Rue was a publishing company and weighed the pros and cons of it. Including the money ( I wish I hadn't have) but I'm ok with it :) I was concerned with the testing aspect of it due to having labs etc while we were in LPN school. Thank you so much for your insight and look for me in days to come. I know I will be full of questions :)

You're in good company, loving. There are many Excelsior students & grads here. Welcome to Allnurses. ;)

Thank you so much. I'm very excited to have found the distance learnign forum. A bit late but I am thankful.

The testing is simply PearsonVue where, if you're an LPN, you took your NCLEX. You find out immediately.

:)

welcome to our group......good luck on your studies...
