Your licensing exam is not accepted by most other countries. Neither is the NCLEX for those that wish to work out of the US.

You are not required to take the NLE to work in the US, unless the state where you wish to work requires the CGFNS exam. There are only a few that do, but if required, you must take and pass the NLE before you will be permitted to take that exam.

Please take the time to do some reading here, of importance to you is the Primer at the top of this forum.

Best of luck to you.:balloons:

Hi, let me tell you something which I hope will somehow shed light. I graduated in 1996, took the NLE and passed. Before, I thought that taking the NLE was not important since after I graduated I pursued a different field. After 11 long years, here I am, raring to work as a nurse and it would be impossible if I haven't taken and passed the NLE. Bottomline, you may never know what will happen in the future. You may want to work here first. You may want to ask your parents about it and weigh things. It feels great to have 2 licenses right? hehehe
