A facility called me for an interview tom just 2 hrs. ago. And I'm freaking out. I just passed my rn exams 2 weeks ago and I am thinking I might be a total mess tom. what usually are the things that they ask on nursing home interviews? I've had some interview from my past job as a retail assoc. but I think Nursing interview would be very different. Will they ask situation type q's, how about tubes and all that? Thanks for your help guys. Allnurses helped me on my nclex exam now please help me on me getting a job. God Bless!:heartbeat

Good luck! Just take a deep breath, short notice is actually good because you won't have time to work yourself up. The questions aren't that different, they might ask you about some of the skills you had in clinical, how you handle conflict ect......

Do a search for interviews. You will get a ton of advice. No need to do a new thread.

Thanks everyone...
I don't know if I got in. They took my ss card and everything for background checking and told me to wait for 2 weeks for the finalization of the interview process. The thing that they asked me was if i can assure them that I would not use their nursing facility just to get experience and all that. And asked how much would I want per hour. No expectations, no tell me about yourself and all that. Just asked me about exp.caring for a geriatric patient. and my willingness to be trained,
