I have officially decided to go back for my RN ( I am an LPN). My local county college offers a "one day a week" program aimed towards those in the health care field with full time jobs and/or kids. You do at home online work during the week and once a week for 12 hrs you have the clinical. I am going to apply for the 2008 class, and finish my pre-requs in the meantime. I have it all planned out and I am so excited! Oh, and my SAT scores were higher than required, so I am set.
I was wondering though....I thought for RN Biology and Chem would have been a pre-requ, but theyre not? I took them at Rutgers and were hoping they'd account for something...guess not. My Microbio will though.

Wow! That sounds like an awesome arrangement! I would see if you can get transfer credits for you classes taken-sometimes you have to fight for that even if they are the same class.
Whay college is this? I wish ours offered something like this!
Best wishes to you!!

Congratulations!!!
About Bio and Chem...Biology is a prereq. to Microbiology -- if you never had Bio it would be hard to make sense of Micro. Chemistry is also helpful for Micro. and some colleges require basic Chem. as a prerequisite (not all colleges though, like the one you got accepted to). I know it might feel like you wasted your money for those two classes, but I think they are a good investment in building a base for your future knowledge!
