I have been doing observed tests for two years now-never had a shy bladder. The only thing I did differently today was I peed when I got up and went later than I normally would. I'm usually a go at opening because I need to pee badly and I don't have time to even think- I followed the BON rules and had drank a small amount of liquid before going to the testing center. I was like this should be fine-I've always been able to pee.
get there and there's like 10 people waiting-I get a lady I've only had one time. I can't pee! And I was trying to deep breathe and focus on being able to pee and she kept talking. She offered me water after sitting there for 2-3 minutes so I was like okay cool how many cups do people need to drink? She said usually four but said she wanted to try just one and give it 10 minutes. Got the urge to pee and she was the same tester. Well now my bladder WAS shy. I couldn't do it. And she said "well let's do two more cups of water" and didn't really give me time to sit to just see if I could relax.
we try a third time and relaxing hasn't worked so I pushed as hard as I could thinking MAYBE that would get things going. I POOPED. I was so freaking embarrassed. I couldn't stop apologizing. She told me she'd give me privacy and that we could do the fourth cup and to wait 20 minutes to let my body have time to need to pee.
Thankfully for the last time I got a lady I usually always pee with. I told her I didn't know what was wrong and she played water noises for me and within 30 seconds I was peeling for her. She told me next time to ask for her or anyone else I felt comfortable with because sometimes it's just dependent on who is doing the test and how they treat you in the room. And now I'm humiliated I've pooped 🙃
also I took two hours to do this when normally I'm in and out. So much for a relaxing day off 😢🥹
